Dunno if I've mentioned this, but I'm an active participant over at GamerDad. Well, ok, on the forums, that is. One of the other forum participants writes games in Flash, and several of these are available for playing either on the net or the Wii..find them here. Cool links, thanks. Man, it sure is amazing how far things have come. To think, when I started college, I had never used the internet. By the end of freshman year, I was playing text based internet games (MUDS), and having a blast. 5 years ago you could line up online with 42 other drivers a have yourself a virtual Daytona 500. Heck, 5 years ago, I was playing Motor City Online, where you raced other people over the internet. Now I read in reader's digest that they put expert doctors in control rooms miles away from the hospital and have them direct attending physicians on how to work with patients. This way, the expert doctor can handle many patients at once.

Those Atari commercials are real works of genious....wow. I can't wait to see what people say about our advertising 25 years from now.

Advertising always looks dumb taken out of context. Advertising today is already undergoing significant change--what we do today will look silly in 25 years, no doubt.

It was a radically new product, and they had no real idea of who would be buying it. So...they tried all sorts of oddball ads. They weren't *that* bad....we geeks bought into it!
