I learned how to make animated images with GIMP, and I couldn't help but make about ten or so sparkly pictures. This one is made from a screenshot of the Invader ZIM intro with little Xs scattered around it. And, of course, GIR's name. =)

They're so addictive to make, though time-consuming... I probably spent a half-hour on just this alone. And I made a bunch of them. Funny how it all began with an innocent, waving smiley, then it became the latest in my Invader ZIM obsession. Mwahaha.

I found a tutorial for it on one of the sites I like to visit. ^^

Showed me how to make the basic smileys, and I went on and made a bunch of icons featuring various Invader ZIM characters. I made three with GIR, two with Zim, one with Tak, and one with my fan character, Kyra. =D

In our house it is all Zim all the time. Invader Zim was a short-lived Nickelodeon cartoon that the kids have recently discovered. Of course now that Greg has a DVR we seem to have all the episodes at their disposal. And they watch the episodes over and over... When they aren't watching they are talking about the show, drawing pictures, writing fan-fiction. Augh!

When they cart me away to the funny farm (glassy eyed, repeating Zim, Zim over and over) you all will know why--these children finally pushed me over the edge with that cartoon.

Zim is pretty funny. It's very irreverent, too...which adds to the adult attraction. As for the animations...Geoff, just wait till she gets a hold of Flash. ;)
