OK, ok, I don't fully buy his argument--I think unmanned space flight (especially for anything farther than the moon) is the way to go. However, check out what Neil thinks, and how he makes the argrument for manned space exploration. Science needs about 100 more Neil Tyson types!
If you ever see him hosting any kind of show on Discovery or PBS, you owe it to yourself to watch. He is a tremendous speaker that brings the subject matter (for him, usually astronomy) to life in a way few others have ever done.
