OK, folks...I'm seriously planning to move both our football and hockey leagues to ESPN. Thoughts?

Biggest plus: free live scoring in both! Woohoo! Also, we can do keepers in both leagues.

For football, I will do the draft so that we all get the same players that we have in the current Yahoo league.

Works for me, I don't care much and I know a lot of people like ESPN's fantasy sports. You just don't want my awesome history in football to be carried over...I know your tricks.

Fantasy hockey rule changes....biggies! We can change under ESPN to set scoring to work like one of these:

1. just like yahoo--scoring by categories, and win one game per category won each week against an opponent.
2. score based, kind of like rotisserie, except you match your totals against your opponent, and the bigger scorer wins the game for the week.
3. category based, but the one with more won categories wins the game for the week.

So, with our original system, we have many (meaningless) games each week, and you can actually lose up to 11 games in a single week. With #2 or #3, you win or lose a single game each week, so the worst you can do is lose one game.

OK, football has been migrated. I will be setting up hockey shortly, though the draft will be in late September. I am seriously leaning toward options 2 and 3 above, probably more like 3 since the mix of players you want won't be any different from previous years. Not sure about the rotisserie approach, I'll have to think about that a bit more, especially since I joined a rotisserie league this year with my men's league team.
